5 Types of Branding Photos Every Business + Company Should Have

Hey friend..it’s me again.

My mission is to ensure you feel confident, prepared, and CLEAR during + after this process!

Part of that is understanding that branding photos are not just you smiling at the camera at a desk, with a cup of coffee in hand. Although, that is a classic shot we can totally sang if it is authentic to you!

But here’s the thing…there are far more images we can create together that reflect you + your personal brand.

When thinking of branding photos, you can categorize the types of personal brand photos in this way:

Lifestyle

These images are exactly what they sound like: your lifestyle.

Why is this important? Because you are “what” people are after, who they want to hire, and who they want to know.

There are a billion trillion small business owners, a mass amount of people inside your industry! The way to truly + sincerely stand out is to showcase yourself. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be, k? It’s easy for us to do that.

Think through these questions: what are you doing on your days off? What are you sipping in the morning or evening or midday? Do you have kids, we can totally set apart time to incorporate them into some shots! Or maybe a few girlfriends, your fiancé or partner.

These photos are used to tell your people about you — remember, people connect with people. This is important.

BTS (behind the scenes)

Obviouslyyyy these are also super important. People are visual — I am farrrr more likely to book with or hire someone I have seen in action, even if it is still-action, than I am to book someone whose websites or social media is just full of words. I want to seeeee you in action, and I’m not the only one.

Seeing someone DO THE THING creates authority + trust, it moves the hypothetical into existence.

If you coach people virtually, I want to document you doing that. If you inject needles into faces, let’s get to work. If you give facials, you know I’m coming to your spa. If you sell houses, we need to get some models in for a house showing to showcase exactly the happy, welcoming, expert experience you’re going to give your clients. If you give the BEST head massage or teach people how to blow dry their hair or host botox parties… we are going to create it!

Flat lays / personal-to-you "stock" imagery

I absolutely LOVE creating these for my clients. They are typically taken from above but they can also be taken from various angles.

They really do a great job breaking up your feed while not adding a cheesy-cheap stock photo feel.

They make sense for YOUR brand and what YOU offer, and they are great to use for educating your clients!

Tools of your trade

These are often similar + right in line to the flat lays / “personal stock photos.” What are the tools you use daily / weekly? Sheers and blooms? Lock boxes and a set of keys? KitchenAid mixer and ingredients? Let’s get alllll the tools out and get to shooting!

Headshots

These are so fun to get creative with! We can set up a white backdrop and get you in a blazer, or we can sit you on a cozy couch with a cup of coffee (or nothing), but either way: your face + eyes are connected in line with the camera. We can make these personal by choosing the setting and your clothing, but all in all, we need your face to be looking straight at the camera, smiling! Showcase your welcoming self, people connect with that.
